Tsering, Class of 2021, is another young Kailash Alumni who is making the most of her next steps in life! As a current university student, she is studying Psychology & Social Work with the aim of “working for the welfare of the marginalized people.<\/em>” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tsering came to Kailash from the Baglung district as a Tibetan refugee, and credits the stewardship of Kailash with her success. We can’t wait to see what she will accomplish next, and are so proud of her and all our other young alumni. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Kailash Home is my first home. The person I have become today, is all because of the good nurturing of my guardians at this home. Throughout my growing up in this home, I learned to stay in harmony with love and mutual understanding with other fellow friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I became a part of this family at the age of 6, and I graduated in the year 2021 from Kailash Home. Looking back to my time at Kailash, I remember every moment shared among children with joy while playing, gardening, baking, cleaning our things, and most importantly, those concentrative and interesting environments while studying in the library. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since graduating from Kailash Home, I have realized and learned a lot of things. It was a sudden transformation I had to adapt to. I had to encounter a lot of personal difficulties that included expressing myself with the outer world but now it has taught me to be confident in who I am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a third year as a Bachelor student with a major subject Psychology and Social Work at Thames International College in Kathmandu. Learning about human behaviors and understanding their patterns is one of the most exciting things I find within my course. Recently I had a chance to visit Kathmandu District Court and observe the cases as a part of my curriculum. I was excited and nervous at the same time heart-wrenched seeing the criminal\u2019s family and other cases brought in the court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I now find myself adopting the new hobby of searching out for mysterious and crime related documentaries and learning from them. Similarly, I completed my psychiatric field practicals at Relife Wellness Nepal where the provisions of rehabilitating the mental ill patients were closely studied. For now, I am occupied with college events and practicals related to the course and my studies. Looking forward, I would love to see myself involved in any of the social fields working for the welfare of the marginalized people.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
